Laura Ingraham wrote a book urging recording stars to “Shut up and Sing.”
After last night’s Grammy Awards, I’m thinking she should have asked them to just shut up. Even the liberal media has noticed that political activism is front and center at the Grammys this year, and now the Dixie Chicks have won best record for their attack on President Bush and the Iraq war.
The event was so political that Al Gore made it through the east coast’s record snowfalls to take a place of honor and hand out an award. He was warmly received.
