Two losses this Easter weekend remind us that we are only here for a season. Johnny Hart, award-winning Christian cartoonist who created the “B.C.” comic strip, died in New York at age 76.
Closer to home, the tragic death in a motorcycle accident of Judge John Gaylord, someone I knew over two decades to be a man of great integrity, principle and faith.
We pray for their families even as we know both men embraced the truths reflected in our celebration of Easter — “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
Judge John Gaylord is my uncle. He is going to be missed very much. You hit the nail on the head when you shared that he was a man of integrity. He was such a humble man and a great representation of a loving and supportive person of our family and community. Our family asks for, and thanks you, for your prayers during this difficult time. God’s blessings. Wendie
