Today’s Political Insider notes that Napolitano has collected all the $5 donations she needs, and that our campaign has collected more than 4,500. You need 4,200 valid $5 donations to qualify for Clean Elections funding, so we have soared past the minimum threshold, as has the Governor. Of course, we didn’t spam email everyone in the known universe to do it. (Ironically, on May 16, 2003, Napolitano signed into law a bill making it a crime to send unsolicited commercial spam email – presumably a law that does not apply to her partisan political spam.) Obviously, we’re doing pretty well considering we don’t have the benefit of universal name ID and the governorship. Come to think of it, how did it take her so long?
