In the 20th century America twice liberated Europe and sent a man to the moon. But in the 21st century, we supposedly don’t have the ability to defend our southern border. I don’t buy it. Even NPR recognizes that a wall has substantially reduced illegal crossings in California.
The bad news — now they come through Arizona. Janet Napolitano famously said that if you show her a 50-foot wall she’ll show you a 51-foot ladder. Maybe … but it appears they aren’t finding many 16-foot ladders to get over the 15-foot wall in California.
