Republican Attorney General candidate Bill Montgomery stood with me at my Capitol press conference yesterday and released a statement endorsing me for Governor:
As I have traveled this state for nearly a year now, I have had the … privilege of observing and listening to the many fine candidates seeking the Republican nomination for Governor. With the wide array of issues facing Arizona and the need for proven principled leadership in the Governor’s Office, our party has the best candidate in Len Munsil. Len will be just as strong on securing Arizona’s border as any other Republican candidate. I have no doubt he will do whatever is necessary to help stem the ongoing negative impacts of illegal immigration and, as the next Attorney General, I look forward to partnering with Len to protect and defend Arizona citizens’ freedom and security.
Bill Montgomery is a graduate of West Point and Arizona State University College of Law. He served as a tank platoon leader in Operation Desert Storm and received a Bronze Star for his service. Montgomery is a former prosecutor in the Maricopa County Attorney’s office where he prosecuted gang members and repeat felons and currently litigates on behalf of crime victims.
Bill will be an outstanding Attorney General for Arizona to replace liberal Terry Goddard. He is a man of proven leadership skills and character.
