When I entered the race for Governor some pundits argued that my reputation as a strong conservative would make it difficult for me to attract support from mainstream Republicans and independents. The incredible outpouring of support I’ve received from elected officials — from different parts of the Republican Party — makes it clear that assumption was false. And as I’ve toured Arizona I’ve met many independents and Democrats who have joined our campaign.
When elected officials who don’t agree with each other on issues agree that I am the candidate who can beat Janet Napolitano, that is significant.
