NAPOLITANO AGENDA? MORE THAN A DAY LATE AND A DOLLAR SHORT

Stung by my criticism and pressed by the local media to explain how she can run for re-election without proposing a single idea or plan for her second term, Janet Napolitano’s campaign rushed into print – just 5 days before the election – a ridiculously shallow, meaningless document that tells us nothing. Of course the Arizona Republic put it on the front page, as if a sitting governor after four years in office and months of “campaigning” should get credit for throwing together a few bullet points less than a week before the election, with no specifics and no cost estimates.
Her real response – “I’ll tell you what I’m going to do after you re-elect me.” Thumbing your nose at the voters days before an election is not usually a good strategy, but Janet doesn’t feel like she needs to answer to voters for anything. She doesn’t feel like she owes you any debates with her opponents, or an explanation of her plans for the next four years, or an explanation for the worst educational system, the worst crime rate, and her complete inaction and blameshifting on the border.
I’ve told you what I will do as Governor in the first 100 days. Spread the word.
