BUMPER STICKER BLUES

So I was driving around town Saturday and saw five different vehicles with “Len Munsil for Governor” bumper stickers still on them.
I know I told people they were the only bumper stickers that would increase the value of their cars, and that they would never come off. But hey, I was kidding.
Then I saw a John Kerry 2004 sticker and I felt better. Even though they’re wrong, I think the Kerry people are making a statement, something like: “I know we lost but look what’s happened since. I still like my candidate better.”
So if you’re leaving them on to keep from hurting my feelings you don’t have to do that.
But if you’re leaving them on to make a statement, go for it. When the political tide turns, you’ll be glad you did. In fact, I’ve still got a few left over …
