Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards got some free publicity courtesy of Ann Coulter’s completely ridiculous and unacceptable slur at a CPAC event this weekend.
He is using that publicity to cite the teachings of Jesus as they apply to public policy, particularly our treatment of the poor.
Far be it from me to object to a political candidate citing the teachings of Christ. But conservative candidates who cite Christian principles related to the sanctity of life and marriage are told to keep their religion out of politics — and they are usually told that by liberals like John Edwards.
