Another Republican candidate, retired Judge Jan Smith Florez, has dropped out of the race for Governor. Having been in this race for a much shorter time period than Judge Florez, I recognize how difficult it is to campaign for statewide office, and have great respect for the many months of grueling campaign activity she has been through. I had very few disagreements on policy with Judge Florez, and I greatly admire her willingness to step into this arena to replace our current Governor. I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
