HOW TO SAVE A LIFE

My former colleague Gary McCaleb of Alliance Defense Fund was my radio guest last week to discuss the case of Jesse Ramirez, who spent two days without food or water when his wife ordered his feeding tube removed following a brain injury. The wife and husband were mad at each other, and were both injured in an auto accident triggered by a marital fight.
McCaleb and ADF intervened on behalf of family members who did not want to see Ramirez starved to death before having a chance to recover.
Now Jesse has awakened from the coma, is sitting up, nodding his head, hugging, kissing and giving a “thumbs up” sign.
Every human life has value. On a day when we are saddened by the horrific news of the cold-blooded murder of a 17-year-old girl in Queen Creek, let’s celebrate the family, the legal team and the judge who preserved one life from an untimely death.

  1. Len,
What is most troubling is the apparent callous regard for lfe these 16 years old who apparently took the life of their friend. Friends kill friends?? I don’t get it – but it is definitely an illustration of how we as a nation has lost its soul.
