POLITICS AS USUAL

Many of those who voted for Democrats because they were tired of such a contentious, partisan political atmosphere in Washington are now discovering that nothing has changed. That may be why Congressional approval of Democrat-controlled Capitol Hill is at historic lows. Enacting good public policy is the purpose of holding office. It seems Americans are finally getting tired of politicians spending most of their time focusing on how to gain more power or using press conferences and taxpayer funds to pump up their name ID for re-election or the next office, rather than simply doing the jobs they were elected to do.
