A ROUGH START

The era of hope, change and post-partisanship is off to a rocky start.
Joe Biden’s assertion that Barack Obama would be tested within the first six months was off by five months and 29 days as the Soviet Union … oops, I mean “democratic Russia” — started rattling its sabres almost immediately. For all the world’s thugs, dictators and terrorists who have been waiting for President Bush to leave office and hoping Sen. McCain would not follow him — the “test the foreign policy lightweight” line forms to the left, right behind Putin’s puppet.
As for change, the stock market – which had stabilized over the past few weeks — immediately reversed field in the biggest post-election drop ever, dubbed “Obama anxiety” on Drudge. At this rate, we have 18 more trading days before it hits zero.
Finally, on the post-partisanship front, Obama has asked Congressman Rahm Emmanuel — a bruising, bitter Democratic partisan who famously said when Democrats re-took Congress in 2006 that Republicans can “go BLEEP themselves” — to be his Chief of Staff, and Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid has called in Sen. Joe Lieberman and will reportedly strip him of his committee chairmanship as the result of Leiberman’s support for Sen. McCain.
And so far as I can tell, the waters are not receding and the planet has not yet begun to heal, but I suppose we can’t expect that to happen until he actually takes office.

    I think this is a very relevant and appropriate scripture for today and should run chillds down the spines of all believers:
    Hosea 8:6-8
    6 They are from Israel! This calf—a craftsman has made it; it is not God. It will be broken in pieces,
    that calf of Samaria.
    7 “They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no head;
    it will produce no flour. Were it to yield grain, foreigners would swallow it up.
    8 Israel is swallowed up; now she is among the nations like a worthless thing.
